Does CBD or CBN tinctures help with Sleep & Insomnia?

Yes, our CBD Wellness CBD & CBN tinctures or Capsules will help relax the body & mind, through their ability to provide homeostasis to your endocannabinoid system. We formulate our CBN Tincture specifically for night time which helps tremendously with Insomnia and sleep.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid naturally found in cannabis. It is one of 113 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant's content.

Cannabinol (CBN) is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that binds to cannabinoid receptors with a preference for CB2 over CB1 and is present in trace concentrations in Cannabis. CBN is generated from the plant's major psychoactive ingredient, tetrahydrocannabinol, as it ages.

Cannabis CBD continues gaining popularity as new research emerges, further specifying its therapeutic properties for health & wellness. Cannabinoids all provide different medicinal effects, while synergistically enhancing each other via the entourage effect. CBD it well known for its vast array of therapeutic benefits. Millions are now using CBD products to benefit from these therapeutic benefits, without the intoxication or high associated with THC use.

Millions have now come to rely on CBD Wellness’s CBD or CBN tinctures to help with sleep & insomnia, a great all natural alternative to OTC or prescription chemicals that could cause severe side effects and addiction.

CBD has many benefits, as such millions are now using CBD to treat a wide range of symptoms and conditions. Including, but not limited to: chronic pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety, cancer, tumors, arthritis, neuropathy, sleeping leg syndrome, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, seizures, and epilepsy. Insomnia and sleep have also become a popular reason people are turning to CBD. Using CBD or CBN tinctures for insomnia has also become a very popular reason, this is due to its highly relaxing and sedative effects.

Research has shown that combining CBD or CBN (or even better, a combination of CBN & CBD) formulated with other natural components, like certain terpene strains can truly help with insomnia, effectively allowing you to obtain a great night’s sleep.

CBD & CBN tinctures for Sleep & Insomnia

The sleep disorder Insomnia is known to affect at least 20% of adults. Insomnia is defined as: difficulty falling or staying asleep, three nights or more a week, lasting 3 months or longer.

The market is filled with medications for sleep & insomnia, many of which are accompanied by negative side effects. This is why most Doctors recommend a non-pharmacological approach for the treatment of insomnia and sleep issues, prior to filling a prescription drug.

If you or a loved one suffer from insomnia or sleep related issues, our CBD or CBN Tinctures would be a great product to add to your health and wellness regimen, effectively helping you get the sleep you deserve. Lacking or not getting enough sleep, can manifest in many ways and exacerbate other symptoms (increase inflammation, pain, stress, anxiety, etc..). Our bodies heal and regenerate during sleep, so when you’re not getting enough sleep your body is unable to properly heal and repair itself.

Studies report CBD & CBN effectively helped the majority of users with insomnia, improving their overall sleep quality. Patients in the study reported little to no side effects (a small percentage of patients still reported being tired upon waking up, which is most likely the result of waking up before getting a full night’s sleep). Up to 90% of patients enjoyed the benefits and results when using a CBD or CBN tincture, 100% of people advised they would choose a natural, plant derived sleep aid vs taking a prescribed chemical medication.

Underlying Causes for Insomnia

CBD & CBN are beneficial for helping with comorbidity. Comorbidity is the simultaneous presence of two or more diseases or medical conditions in a patient. The majority of Insomnia sufferers also report having depression and or anxiety. This is why our CBD or CBN tinctures are so beneficial. Creating homeostasis within your ECS will help relieve or eliminate depression and or anxiety, which in turn helps insomnia and sleep.

CBD is well known and researched backed for its anti-anxiety effects, it also regulates serotonin levels in your gut and brain. Serotonin is extremely important when dealing with depression. Many have come to love the array of effective medicinal benefits CBD has to offer. Now you can use one natural product to effectively help with multiple issues and conditions, without any negative side effects. No more managing a bunch of different medications to treat different issues. Not to mention the negative side effects accompanied with the majority of prescription medications.

How much CBD or CBN tincture should you use for Insomnia?

Deciding how much CBD or CBN tincture to use will vary from person to person. We recommend starting off with a medium dose of CBD, regularly morning & night for at least 7 days to see how it’s working and helping. Then adjusting the dose as needed, whenever you change your mg dose amount, be sure to stick with it for at least 7 days to understand how it’s working. CBD benefits you and works in a variety of ways; depending on the individual, reason for taking, and what you’re hoping to achieve all should play a role in how much CBD you use for your daily regimen.

Our 800mg CBN Tincture we recommend taking 1hr before going to bed. We recommend starting with 1ml which contains 25mg of CBN & CBD. Continue this regimen for at least 7 days to understand how it’s working for you. If needed, adjust your dose either taking more or less depending on your initial results.

CBD has biphasic properties. This means it can produce different effects depending on how much is used. For example, when CBD is used in low mg doses has demonstrated stimulant effects, while taking larger doses of CBD or CBN has been shown to have sedative effects. CBD works hand in hand with the CNS (Central Nervous System), effectively increasing or decreasing activity.

High doses of CBD or CBN have been shown to reduce pulse rate, this is extremely beneficial in treating stress, panic attacks, anxiety, which effectively also helps alleviate insomnia and help you sleep. Research suggests CBD & CBN sedative effects are tied to its anti-anxiety properties.

The type of product used is another consideration that should be taken to account. For instance, CBD or CBN tinctures have a faster onset and are more bioavailable than capsules. Also playing a role is product absorption, also known as bioavailability. Bioavailability is how much of the activated compound used becomes readily available for your system to use.

Research for CBD & CBN for Insomnia & Sleep

Cannabis and its respective compounds are still somewhat new when it comes to products and benefits. Although the cannabis plant and its compounds have been used around the world for centuries to help alleviate and treat a wide range of illnesses, diseases, symptoms, and conditions; laws have restricted our ability to research these compounds in there entirety. This is changing rapidly however, since the legalization of Cannabis Hemp and State approved Marijuana Dispensaries, cannabis research is now thriving. New studies are constantly being published that detail its overall benefits, specific compound benefits, and specific illnesses and symptoms cannabis and its compounds can effectively minimize or treat.

There are countless studies proving CBD & CBN’s role in affecting sleep and insomnia, not to mention our customers who report their health improvements.

Another topic that has become clear is whether CBD (isolate) alone is helpful in response to insomnia, sleep, and other common reason people use CBD for. Research has shown CBD isolate products did not help or assist with the majority benefits Cannabis is known for, including but not limited to pain, inflammation, anxiety, and sleep. This is because of the entourage effect and how it works with our endocannabinoids.

This is why Full Spectrum products have been proven time and time again to be the superior choice when selecting an effective CBD product. This is also why we only use Full Spectrum, phytocannabinoid, CBD-Rich oil to create all CBD Wellness products. Cannabis contains hundreds of different compounds, terpenes, and other oils and fats which all play some role in its beneficial properties and effects. In fact, many of the cannabinoids and terpenes contain their own uniquely beneficial properties. For example, the terpene myrcene is known to have sedative effects on its own.

All CBD Wellness products are made with our Full Spectrum, CBD-Rich cannabinoid oil, derived from our phytocannabinoid rich cannabis hemp plants. Research has proven that consuming a high quality, full spectrum CBD product is far more effective overall than consuming a CBD broad spectrum or isolate CBD product, this due to the “entourage effect“.
